Arriving from the South

Follow the A6 North into Belper. Go straight across the traffic island (Morrisons supermarket and Macdonalds on left). Continue on the A6 through the town. At main traffic lights turn left on to the A517 signposted to Ashbourne. Drive through the archway which joins two large mill buildings and then cross over the River Derwent . Almost immediately, fork right in front of the Talbot Hotel. You are now on Belper Lane. The road goes very steeply uphill. Amber Hills is approximately three quarters of a mile up Belper Lane on the left hand side - a green and white house right on the street. If you see the Hill Top pub then you have just passed us !
